Dr. Charles Campbell : Chiropractor
Dr. Charles Campbell is a skilled Chiropractor who has lived and had his very successful practice in beautiful Kitsilano for twenty five years. He first met Bob in a local restaurant in 1996, when a mutual friend introduced them and suggested to Bob that Dr. C could surely help him to decrease his pain after a motor vehicle accident. Dr. Campbell’s treatments, along with Bob’s work in the gym and with a physiotherapist, have contributed to Bob’s return to competition.
Bob states that Dr. Campbell is directly responsible for his much improved range of motion and the huge decrease in his pain. He says that Dr. Campbell has given him back the use of his shoulder, which was severely injured in his second MVA.
Dr. Matt Nelson : Chiropractor
Dr. Nelson received his Bachelor of Human Kinetics in Exercise Science from UBC, while playing Varsity football for the Thunderbirds. He continued his education at New York Chiropractic College, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. Upon returning home to Kitsilano Dr. Nelson joined the practice of Dr. Charles Campbell, who was his chiropractor throughout high school and university.
It was, of course, only natural that Dr. Nelson should become keenly interested in working with Bob in his training programme. Dr. Nelson has assisted Bob in fine-tuning his training to maximize conditioning and minimize injury. He is very supportive of Bob’s efforts and admires his dedication.
Dr. Quinn Rivet : Naturopath
Dr. Quinn Rivet was born in Hamilton, Ontario and a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Ontario.
He now Teaches Pathology, Nutrition, Geriatrics and Genetics and is a senior clinical supervisor at Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in New Westminster, British Columbia where he holds the chairs of Nutrition and Senior Clinical Examinations. He is an adjunct professor at Bastyr University in the State of Washington U.S.A., and The Canadian College of Naturopathic in Toronto, Ontario, Canada were he lectures to senior students on Naturopathic Nephrology (kidney disease).
In the time that he has been treating Bob, he has helped to improve Bob’s health and conditioning. Dr. Rivet treats Bob with vitamin supplementation, homeopathy, acupuncture and neural therapy.
An athlete himself, Dr. Rivet has a strong understanding of Bob’s needs, both physically and psychologically. Bob has stated that he always feels “just great” after seeing Dr. Rivet.
Lehsa Goltz : Reflexology and Massage
Lehsa’s background in healthcare has been very beneficial in her work with Bob. She has worked with Naturopaths, Chiropractors and Massage Therapists. She is trained in Cold Laser Therapy, Ionic Cleanse Therapy and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. She treats Bob with Reflexology and massage.
Lehsa explains “I treat Bob with ear reflexology – this is to help him relax and increase circulation before I do body work on him. My main objective with the body work is to reduce stress, help the musculature, ligaments and tendons function to their full potential and to also increase circulation that will aid in the body’s natural ability to heal and function at it’s optimal level.”
When asked what she likes best about Bob:
“He is inspiring – as he does whatever he can to keep himself healthy, considering what life has sent his way. His has a great attitude, kind and caring way about him, he is always so grateful and he has a great sense of humor! I appreciate that I have gotten to treat him and know him – I have learned so much and it’s inspired me to take better care of my health too.
